Gorgeous!

The weather for the last few days (aside from the bit of rain yesterday) has been gorgeous! I think it's 75 degrees outside today. I have the windows open in the house and I am really enjoying the sunshine coming in through my windows. I hope that means it's the end of wintery cold weather here in South Georgia. I HATE the cold!

There's no more news about new orders for Justin. Despite that, I am becoming increasingly excited about moving! At this point, we anticipate moving during August, which means I have less than 6 months left. I can't wait to start on a new Navy adventure!

Of course, moving in August (and possibly cross country) has given me great anxiety. I don't know whether or not to enroll Elise in school here or not. School starts around the 1st of August here and if we don't move until late August or the first week in September then I feel like she should go. On the other hand, if we move late August and her new school doesn't start until the second or third week in August, should I bother? I don't know if it would be worth it for her to be in school for only 2 or 3 weeks. I am not worried about her missing anything or getting left behind or anything, but I don't think she needs to be sitting around the house idle and annoying me either.

New clothes for Claire

Well the furniture make overs are not done yet, but the projects are started and progress is getting made. Last weekend, while I was really sick, Justin was kind enough to go out to the garage and sand down the two furniture pieces. This weekend, he applied two coats of paint to my future bookshelf. It looks really good so far and I know it's only going to get better. I hope he can finish it this week, so I can get some use out of it!I haven't been doing too much since I've been sick, but I have worked on a few orders and then made some stuff for fun. This afternoon I made Claire the jammies in the photo above. When I saw the flannel fabric a few months ago, I originally bought it to make jammie pants for Elise. I ended up not having quite enough, so Claire lucked out! I love the pattern that I used as it only takes about 20 minutes to make them from start to finish. Not bad huh? This upcycled dress I made a few months ago. I bought the ugly mint green men's shirt from a thrift shop and turned it in to a cute girly dress after I added some pretty Heather Bailey fabric. This was my second attempt at a peasant dress and I love how easy it is! I found a couple more shirts recently that I'll upcycle as well, but I'm not sure what pattern I'll use yet. Maybe sun dresses?
