Insomnia

Seriously...just when I thought I was done with sleep problems here I go again. I. Can't. Sleep. No matter how tired I am, as soon as my head hits the pillow I am wide awake again. This sucks. It looks like I might have to start the Ambien again, which I really didn't want to do.

On another note, I've been super productive lately despite my lack of sleep. Last week I was crazy busy with orders, which was a good thing, but it was hectic. For future reference though, I will NOT be embroidering 10 onesies for an order in 1 day. That was no fun at all!

Elise has recently become more interested in sewing and creating things. As long as I can remember, she's always like the idea of liking whatever I like (make sense?). When I scrapbooked regularly, she did too. When I created handmade cards, she did too. So a couple of months ago when she asked me if she could have my old sewing machine, I was not surprised.

For weeks it sat on her desk collecting dust, while E enjoyed the idea of sewing. Last week she finally dusted it off and asked me to help her make some boxers. I wasn't able to do it that night, so she attempted it on her own (no pattern either mind you!). I have to say it was almost a good job. She didn't quite pay attention to me when I told her how to shape the pattern. Still I am proud that she tried. Yesterday I showed her how to draft a pattern using a pair of pants she has. I think the second pair will turn out much nicer! I'll have to post pics when I find my camera again.

That is great! My mom taught me how to crochet when I was a little girl. I remember loving it. I abandoned crocheting during my teenage/early adult years and forgot how to do it. A few years ago, I bought a book and taught myself to crochet again. I have so many fond memories of crocheting with my mother.

P.S. Sorry you can't sleep. I go through periods like that to. It sucks.
