Cupcake Cuteness

This year for the Silver/Gold Dolphin Scholarship Auction I decided to create and donate a little girl kitchen set for the silent auction. I didn't get very many photos of the donation before I turned it in, but you can get the gist of it. I was also going to make a chef hat, but ran out of time. I'm still going to make one for Claire and I'll post it when I get a chance. Here's Claire modeling her apron and oven mitts. (If you know Claire, you know this is about the best picture I could get of her. She doesn't like the paparazzi.) I couldn't make one for someone else without making them for her too! Of course, she insisted that you must have two oven mitts. One just won't do it!

The apron that Claire is modeling has two ties, so it can be worn with a bow on the back. The one for the auction looks the same front the front, but I used 2 D rings so it would be more easily adjustable if the child is larger.

Up close of the oven mitts - They're quilted and have a cute turquoise stitched trim on the front side!
What good are the apron and oven mitts without some food to serve? Out of Eco-fi felt, I created some delicious creations. There are 4 donuts, one fried egg, 2 slices of bacon, 2 pancakes with syrup and butter, and 3 slices of pizza. I embroidered a waffle weave towel to go along with it too. I found those cute, white mini plates at Target for $.99 each and the tray came from the $2.50 section of the dollar spot at Target as well. I also have some pizza toppings and cookies that vanished. Miss Claire won't give them up, so I'll have to replace them with new ones. I do realize that I didn't make any cupcakes to go with the cupcake accessories, but I didn't have time to figure those out.

I had a lot of fun creating all of the yummy goodness, so I hope whoever the recipient is will enjoy it. I know Claire is so happy with all that I've made for her.
